International campers are very welcome at Camp Crusoe. From past experience they are highly active members of our camp community and gain a huge amount from the experience.

We limit our international campers to no more than 20% of each camp as we find this gives them the best experience of a British Summer Camp and ensures they get the most exposure to children from different backgrounds.

Whilst we do have staff who speak a variety of languages, we conduct the whole camp in English as this is the perfect way to give our international campers the immersive experience which proves so effective. It is essential, therefore, that all campers can understand English well and we will ask to speak to international campers prior to registration to confirm their level of spoken English.

All non UK-resident campers are required to pay the international camper fee at registration. This covers the extra administration that is required for international campers plus registration and retainer costs with Alpha Guardians (Aegis Gold Standard Accredited) who will act as nominated guardians in the UK during camp for all international campers. In the unlikely event Alpha Guardians’ help is required during camp, extra charges will be incurred.

please note that while we welcome international campers onto our accompanied transport from London we do not offer airport transfers with our staff, however Alpha Guardians can arrange this service as well as homestay nights with their host families if required. Do consider travel times can be effected by seasonal traffic when booking flights.

Thankfully, BREXIT hasn’t affected our ability to welcome campers from the EU, however campers from outside the EU will likely require a visa to visit the UK. We cannot apply for visas on behalf of campers but can issue a letter stating your child’s registration at camp.

Campers are welcome for two sessions at camp, but no more than two as we feel this is a good amount of time to be at camp in one summer. If staying for two sessions, we can accommodate them at camp for the night between sessions for an additional fee which must be added when registering.
